Deck’s Captain Kerry Titheradge is firing the third crew of 11 seasons
Another member of St. David’s group left. Find out why Captain Kerry Titheredge lost another Season 11 boat on the April 22 episode of the Bravo series.
Chef Anthony Iraken calls Belo Deck a Valley trip.
Captain Kerry Titheredge fired the Season 11 chef on the April 22 episode of the Bravo series after cracking under pressure during massive food preparation. The business season brought kitchen blunders that tipped the scales for not choosing pork for the French food show’s most recent special guest, who served a vegetable-proof holiday salad and spoiled another late-night guest. The request for fried lobster cheese got its face low, and I ended up with only $17,250 to split them.
As a disappointed stew boss, Fraser Oleander later lamented in a confessional, “It’s a shame. Is it because of the food? I say yes.”
Captain Kerry then called Anthony to the bridge so he could reveal his fate on the super yacht.
“I think you’re an incredible chef; your food is absolutely amazing,” Carey told her. “But you kind of start nose-diving. I see aliens who don’t like the elements you’re doing.”
“You’re not doing well here,” he added. “If I keep you here again, I’m setting you up for trouble. I’m doing you a favour.”
The news saddened Anthony, who insisted he would do his best to meet more guest demands.
“This is the first time I’ve been fired—the first time in my life,” he told Kerry.
In a confession, Anthony admitted, “I sound like a freak. That’s not true. It’s impossible.”
However, Kerry stood by his decision.
“It’s sad,” he revealed in a confession. “I don’t like this at all. The crew is starting to realize where the chef is failing us. If I let this guy go on again, morale will be terrible. I can’t have that.”
Fraser later approached Anthony in the kitchen and saw him crying. In an emotional moment, Chief Stew asked questions before Kerry encouraged Anthony to leave.
“To see him in so much pain that I feel like I helped him is really hard,” Fraser shared. “I’ll always love that kid. But right now, the job is more important and he’s not up to the job right now.”
Before disembarking, Anthony told Fraser, “I made the best of it. It wasn’t enough.”
Anthony’s dismissal comes after Bosun Jared Woodin was dismissed for unprofessional behavior earlier in the season. In addition, Stew Cat Baugh voluntarily stepped down, admitting that she struggled with work and dealt with personal issues at home.
Watch for Anthony’s replacement when Below Deck airs Monday at 9 p.m. on Bravo. And read on to see behind the scenes some of the most amazing below-deck shots ever.
Camille Lamb
If there’s one thing you can learn from shooting Camille Lamb’s Below Deck, it’s not to slow down in the process. That’s why in season 10, Stu was let go by substitute captain Sandy Yawn when Chief Stu kept criticizing Camille’s behavior aboard the Fraser Oleander. From being caught drinking in preparation for another charter to partying late and more, Fraser informed Captain Sandy that he had had his “last straw”.
“He’s the one thing in all of this,” Captain Sandy said. “Great girl, great personality, but at the same time, we have to do what’s best for the boat.”
Kyle Dickard
Below Deck Adventure’s Kyle Dickard lost just three episodes in the latest episode of the reality franchise, which premieres in November 2022. Kerry Titheredge had the chance to resign or else her shot didn’t end up on her own record.
Kyle took the captain up on his offer and abandoned the boat after just one hire.
Reagan Tyler
Captain Sandy Bosun gave Reagan Tyler a go in the seventh season of Below Deck Mediterranean, not only for making the boat take a minor hit as it docked but also for not stepping up to the plate as a leader.
But Captain Sandy didn’t want his shot to disappoint Bosun, as he told Reagan, “If I had the time and not on a boat of this size, I’d train you. I’d teach you.”
Elizabeth Frankini
Apart from the love affair on board and his failure to follow instructions, one of the main reasons he shot Stu Elizabeth Frankini on the deck was his infamous laundry room mishap, during which a toxic mess was made in a combination of bleach and laundry detergent.
“Unfortunately, I didn’t know it was so toxic, and I feel so bad about it,” she told E! Report of an incident in December.
Luke Jones and Laura Bilesken
Bosun and Stu were both fired by Captain Jason Chambers for inappropriate behavior after a night of partying with fellow shipmates.
Drunk and unconscious, Stu broke into Margot Sisson’s bed naked and got away from Luke Jones. Laura Bilesken also made unwanted advances on deckhand Adam Kodra, even though she said she didn’t like being with him.
Jason let them know they had to approve it and sent two workers to pack up.
Lexi Wilson
Tensions between stew Lexi Wilson and chef Matthew Shea culminated in an explosive food fight on Below Deck Mediterranean Season 6, when Lexi told Matt that her parents “should have put you out” and she was Captain Sandy’s last grass long after that took off.
Tom Pearson
Deckhand Tom Pearson said it was a “bon voyage” to the Below Deck Sailing Yacht after being let go by Captain Glenn Shephard. One night, without warning that a strong wind was pulling the boat’s anchor, Tom delivered the final blow to the captain, creating a potential safety hazard for everyone on board.
“It had to be done. It was so unfortunate that he dropped the ball, he had to leave, we just had to man down and stay with him, you know?” Captain Glen told Watch What Happens Live about the decision. “So, obviously, you don’t want to do that, but yeah, it had to happen.”
Ryan McKeown
Some people are picky eaters, but Ryan McKeown of Below Deck Down Under was a picky chef because he judged guests’ food requests and couldn’t take criticism from Captain Jason Chambers, either.
Ryan below Deck’s exit is perhaps the most memorable in the franchise, as he mooned Jason and viewers when he went under the boat.
Magda Geomek
The ouster of Below Deck Down Under stew Magda Ziomek is another case of internal sluggishness. After constantly texting or video chatting with his girlfriend on his phone, head stew Aisha Scott decided to replace Magda before the end of the charter period.
Peter Hunziker
Peter Hunziker was fired from Below Deck Mediterranean in June 2020 for sharing an offensive social media post.
Bravo has suspended Peter Hunziker from Below Deck Mediterranean due to racist comments. The show is currently being edited by Bravo and 51 Minds to reduce his exposure.
Hannah Ferrier
Captain Sandy dropped off Manager Stew Hannah Ferrier at Below Deck Mediterranean after Boson Malia White discovered that Hannah had an undisclosed amount of Valium and a vape pen. This contradicted Hannah’s previous claims that she was concerned about these items.
“If I could do it all over again, I would let them know as soon as I came on board,” Hannah said. “Certainly none of this was intentional. I wasn’t trying to hide anything.”
Delaney Evans
At the bottom of the Mediterranean, Delaney Evans left as quickly as he arrived. After initially bringing in Chief Stew Katie Flood to help her in Season 6, Katie decided that Delaney was doing more harm than good, choosing to let her go after just one rule.
“I think he was overwhelmed by the situation, and I think, you know, in his mind, the best solution to the situation was just to go back to normal,” Delaney told Bravo Insider about Katie’s decision. “I think he just had everything going on by everyone and the answer overwhelmed him.
Shane Coopersmith
Deckhand Shane Coopersmith was a bit over his head during eight seasons of Below Deck, as he got away with not learning basic skills, reporting late for work, and falling asleep on the job.
Leon Walker
Due to chaos in the kitchen, Captain Lee Rosbach moved Chef Leon Walker to Below Deck for a third season. After the oven fire, Lee blamed Chief Stew Kate Chastain, but ultimately, she was sent home.
Chris Brown
Chris Brown was fired from Below Deck season five for poor performance. As he exited the boat, Chris shared some disrespectful words: “Who gives an s–t?”
Mila Kolomeitseva
Captain Sandy from Below Deck Mediterranean Season 4 fired Chef Mila Colomeitsewa for not using her culinary skills to create high-quality dishes for guests—including some not-so-pretty nachos.
“It actually makes me feel terrible,” Mila said of her departure. Sometimes, burying my ego can motivate me to work harder.
Chandler Brooks
Sometimes people are just ineffective. That’s why Captain Below Deck fired Chandler Brooks in season six, telling Boson, “I don’t think it’s very fair.”
In the noisy world of “Below Deck,” where beauty meets chaos, each member of the crew plays a key role in the smooth running of the superyacht. Season 11 saw its fair share of ups and downs, with chef Anthony Iraken and the next series of personnel changes rocking the boat.
Though sad, Anthony’s departure is a poignant reminder of the unforgiving nature of life at sea. Despite his undeniable talent in the kitchen, the job’s pressure became too much for him to handle. As a result, Captain Kerry Titheredge made the tough decision to let him go. Although Anthony’s departure left a vacancy in the staff, Captain Kerry’s determination to maintain high standards ensured that the team’s loyalty remained intact.
Throughout the season, the Season 11 boat crew faced many challenges, from crew changes to mistakes in the kitchen. But amidst the chaos, there have been moments of camaraderie and resilience as the crew gathers together and navigates the choppy waters of life on deck.
As viewers eagerly await the arrival of Anthony’s replacement, they can see a new chapter in the ever-evolving “Below Deck” story unfold. While each new crew brings the promise of new adventures and unexpected challenges, the roadside comes, and they make sure there are never two seasons just like that.
Ultimately, the indomitable spirit of the crew is what keeps viewers coming back for more, as they continue to brave the rough seas in pursuit of the ultimate luxurious experience As “Below Deck” season 11 continues, one thing is certain: no journey is far from over, and the best is yet to come.
