Suspect in Triple Homicide Captured After Standoff in Trenton:
A statement from the Pennsbury School District verified that one of the victims was an eighth-grader.
Pennsylvania (WPVI) According to authorities, a suspect who was detained inside a house in
New Jersey on Saturday and is suspected of killing three family members in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, was apprehended.
Authorities said Andre Gordon, 26, was besieged at a home on Trenton’s 100 block of Phillips Avenue.
He was apprehended soon before 5:30 p.m. at a site other than the roadblock and surrendered calmly, according to Trenton police.
According to Steve Wilson, Trenton’s police director, Gordon allegedly left the perimeter around the besieged residence before it was established.
“He was at that house at one point, but before we could establish a perimeter, he slipped out,” he said.
“The suspect was walking on New York Avenue,” according to Wilson. “He was stopped, identified, and taken into custody.”
Wilson stated that he did not believe the suspect was armed at the time he was apprehended.
According to the mayor, police investigators are still searching Gordon’s home and the vehicle he stole for the weapon used in the Saturday shooting.
“He was caught safely and without incident.
“He’ll go to the Trenton Police Department for processing,” Wilson said. “At some point,
he will be extradited to Pennsylvania to answer for those charges, but he will be charged here as well.”
Investigators initially reported that Suspect
Gordon was holding hostages inside the Trenton residence.
Before 4:30 p.m., Trenton police verified that all occupants of the barricaded residence Suspect
and those residing in nearby homes had been safely removed from the vicinity.
When police enforcement removed 10 to 12 people from their houses on Phillips Avenue, Suspect
Action News was on the scene. Among the residents were at least one toddler and an old woman carried on an officer’s shoulders.
Gordon had barricaded himself a short distance from the 100 block of Miller Street, where police discovered a carjacked Honda SUV that Gordon was thought to be driving.
